"Hello Goodbye" Sugar Glider Mug
"Hello Goodbye" Sugar Glider Mug
Hello Goodbye
The sugar glider is a palm-sized possum that, despite often being mistaken for flying squirrels, are related to other marsupials such as kangaroos. Thanks to thin stretches of skin between their fifth forefinger and back ankle, these pocket rockets can “fly” half the length of a football field in one go. Omnivore by nature, gliders are known to eat bugs such as spiders and beetles, however they are called sugar gliders for a reason; they have a notorious sweet tooth and are fond of honey, nectar and the sugary sap of the eucalyptus tree. They can be found huddled with up to 10 adults in the tree hollows of Australia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea.
Darcy and Luna are just two guinea pigs, squeaking at their hooman, telling them they’re hungry...
Darcy and Luna Designs was born after our founder and artist, Milly, lost her two beloved guinea pigs. They were her friends when she was lonely, her entertainment when she was sad, her reason to get up when she just wanted to stay in bed. If this wasn’t reason enough, then the fact that guinea pigs are the most underrated pet is!
This made her think - what other underrated animals are out there? Darcy and Luna Designs is all about paying homage to those animals that are just as adorable as dogs, elephants, hedgehogs and donkeys, just a little more… alternative!
