Darcy only has one thing on her mind, and that’s testing whether everything is edible. Guinea pigs, or Cavies, originate in South America and are thought to have been domesticated in Peru more than 3000 years ago, meaning they are no longer found in the wild. Despite this, they retained some of their prey characteristics to protect themselves in the home, such as 340 degree vision and teeth/nails that never stop growing. Oh, and when they’re happy they twist and leap in the air, otherwise known as “popcorning”.

Darcy and Luna are just two guinea pigs, squeaking at their hooman, telling them they’re hungry…

Darcy and Luna Designs was born after I lost my two beloved guinea pigs. They were my friends when I was lonely, my entertainment when I was sad, my reason to get up when I just wanted to stay in bed. If this wasn’t reason enough, then the fact that guinea pigs are the most underrated pet is!

This made me think - what other underrated animals are out there? Darcy and Luna Designs is all about paying homage to those animals that are just as adorable as dogs, elephants, hedgehogs and donkeys, just a little more… alternative!

Printing and Shipping

Printed on Starfine Natural 300gsm cardstock. Sprayed with Inkjet fixative to support help with watermarks and uv damage and protected by compostable cellophane packaging. Packed in a hard back cardboard envelope to keep your cargo safe as it makes its way to you!
